Ron Lanoue

From April 2005 to December 2010, Ron was the Director of the Arkansas Legal Services Partnership.  He was also Secretary of the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission, which was created by the Arkansas Supreme Court to expand access to civil justice for people with limited incomes. 

Ron was for 20 years the Executive Director of the National Conference of Christians and Jews [NCCJ] in Arkansas, was instrumental in the creation of a new NCCJ region in Northwest Arkansas, and finally served as NCCJ Executive Director in San Diego. In his NCCJ work Ron managed the programs, administrative operations, human resources, and fund development operations of NCCJ offices in Little Rock, Fayetteville, and San Diego.

He has also worked at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he was responsible to the Chancellor for the capital budget, facilities development and strategic planning. 

During graduate school Ron worked in the Wisconsin Legislature where he was special assistant to the House Municipalities Committee chairman. While there he was responsible for expanding the role of the state’s savings and loan industry in the development of low income housing. He also managed efforts while in California against various Propositions that would limit the expansion of civil and human rights.

Ron is the recipient of numerous awards including NCCJ’s National Humanitarian Award, the Ethel K Millar Award for Religion and Social Awareness given by Hendrix College, is a Paul Harris Fellow, and a Gandhi Non-Violence Award winner. He has two adult children, Elise and Joel, living in Chicago.
