Robert Thompson serves in the Arkansas State Senate for District 11, which includes three counties in northeast Arkansas. He previously served in the state House of Representatives for District 78. As a state senator, Thompson serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee; the Senate Committee on City, County and Local Affairs; the Joint Energy Committee; and the Arkansas Legislative Council. He is chairman of three subcommittees, including the Legislative Council’s Litigation Reports Oversight Committee.
Thompson is a principal in the firm of Branch, Thompson, Philhours & Warmath, P.A., in Paragould, Arkansas. His primary areas of practice are general civil and commercial litigation, debtor-creditor and bankruptcy practice, and employment law.
Thompson is a graduate of Hendrix College and the University of Arkansas School of Law. He lives in Paragould with his wife Tori and their two sons Cross and Henry.
